We are creatures who live with our phones as an extension of our hands. Am I right or am I right. I mean to tell you how ridic this is, I’m blogging and my phone is sitting on my leg. How awkward is that. Since the modern girl is always on the go whether it be with school, family or her career, life can go from 0 to 100000000 real quick. Here are 5 free apps that I LOVE because they’re fun to use and help me stay super organized.
P.S. You definitely should be following me on instagram, twitter & snapchat (itsroxyjames) so that you’ll be the first to know errything.
Staying organized is VIP to me- like chronic level important. I can’t go one day without looking at my planner and god knows what would happen to me if I didn’t write things down. I feel like my life would totally spiral out of control. Yes, it’s that dramatic but true.
But being a modern girl and all, you can’t possibly write down every single thing that you want to remember. How crazy it would be if you heard a song you loveedddd, but didn’t know the name- I got an app for that. And if you did, would you honestly stop to jot that down? And what about directions, would you draw out a map?
So yes, definitely being tech savvy is not only important but actually necessary. That’s where apps come in- and these are free & help you stay organized, so what’s not to love.
P.S. if you wanna see all the apps on my phone, you can check out my What’s on my iPhone 6 video!
1. Reminders
I can’t stress this enough:
You may think you’re superwoman but your brain sure isn’t. And with a thousand things running though your head at a rate of 142648354363, I don’t blame you if you lose track of everything. Don’t worry. With this handy little app, you can keep track of all your notes and to-do lists.
When I’m on the go, I use this app for things like my grocery list, ideas that I suddenly have for my channel or blog, and anything else that comes to me when I physically can’t write in my planner. I’ll be the first to admit that digital planning definitely has its pros. Just don’t let your phone die if you need to look at a list in a hurry #JUSTSAYING
I also love that you can constantly rearrange the items in your list (LOVE), and in the Reminder option, you can also add due dates and alarms so you won’t forget anything. When it comes to Lists, you know I do love to check things off so I’m super happy that there’s this option. Andddd you can also colour code your lists to your heart’s content.
I don’t think there’s the same version of Reminders for Google Play, but there are definitely some similar options!

2. Adobe Reader
For the love of anything to be read, this is the app for you. Sure it may not have a cute sounding name and it does lean towards the more ‘scholarly’ edge, but if you want to highlight, add notes, draw, underline and a billion other things, you’ll love this app. It’s also like a ‘bookshelf’ in that all the documents/books that you open can be saved so whenever you need to access one you can hit the search button.

3. My Pill
Okay getting on the personal side a bit, this app is perf if you need to keep track of your birth control. I love the daily reminder system and the way the pack looks as if it’s open whenever you take a pill. You can also write notes on the calendar like your period flow or even intimacy if you’re into that sorta tracking haha. JK. #nojudgement
Oh I almost forget, there’s a cool part that lets you know when you’re on-time and protected. I love seeing all green. With my OCD self, any gaps would drive me crazy. And if you miss one, there’s a HUGE sign saying MISSED where those green blocks are. Yea, something you never fricken want to see.
This app does contain a one-time (optional) in app purchase that let’s you customize everything- from the reminder that comes up and the pill settings. The app works fine without the upgrade but I upgraded mine just because I wanted to change the reminder name and stuff. Totally unnecessary, but that’s just me.
There’s also a fun forum- don’t worry you don’t get annoying messages or anything- where girls just talk about EVERYthing and ask questions and stuff. I just like to read all the juicy details #LOL

4. Waze
TBH, I mainly use Waze so I won’t lose myself all over the place. GPS for the win! And it does talk to you. That’s a huge thing for me in case you were wondering.
Sorry I can’t share a pic for location reasons but here is a cute little icon.
It also gives you updates on traffics, accidents and where the police at if you’re a criminal- but you should totes not be a criminal [please don’t be a criminal]. Plus, if you’re super competitive, you can get get points for reporting things. My guy went through a phase where anything, and I mean anything he would report. Even if it there was legit one inch of traffic. JK. But he did drive with his phone nearby at all times ready to Waze anything.

5. Shazam
Cause music makes me lost control *busts out in Missy Elliot moves*. Whether you need music for your gym workouts or you just love staying up-to-date with the latest releases, this. app. is. from. God. You just touch the swirly little icon, it listens and boom, the song comes up.
You can also see a list of your Shazamed-songs and this is super helpful if you wanna listen to them at a later time. Here are my recents.
