I. Love. To. Read.
Being a 90s kid meant that I didn’t have the luxury of anything tech related so my refuge from the ordinary world was through books. Side note: thank you J.K. Rowling for making my childhood absolutely magical.
Every time I saved up my little pocket money, I would buy a new book. There’s something so timeless and classic about books, from the way they smell and feel as you hold them. And there’s a certain satisfaction you get from turning the pages and seeing the chapters whittle away.
Sighs. Yes, I totally can go on and on about books. Here’s my recent book haul and below you can find a list of all the books I bought.
If you were wondering, I don’t do book reviews but if you really really want one, I can do it on my abandoned vlog channel. Gulp.
In the video, I do talk a bit about the books I picked up, so be sure to check it out if you want an idea of what to expect.
As of this post, I’ve read all except The Need Series and I just started Wedding Night so I’ll definitely need some more book suggestions so please don’t hesitate to leave some in the comments below!
As you can see, I’m a huge fan of Lauren Oliver because her writing is absolutely mesmerizing and you truly ache for more. I discovered her when I picked up Vanishing Girls because the cover was absolutely stunning in its rose gold glory. Yes, I do judge a book by it’s cover #sorrynotsorry?
That book left me with my heart breaking and my soul aching. So it was only natural that I binged on the rest of her books. Before I Fall was one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read and I saw on her twitter that it’s actually going to be made into a movie. I can’t even right now. YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK.
Fact about me: I’m a fanatic when it comes to collecting books (as you probably figured out by now) be it books by the same author or all the series in the books. I’m the kind of bibliophile where if I’m missing a book in a series, I can’t read it until I get the missing one.
That’s what happened with The Need Series so I eventually gave up on trying to find the last book in my bookstore so I got it on Amazon. It’s about a magical world so I can’t wait to get into it.
Another Fact: I LIVE for fantasy books aka books with magic. This is the first time I’ve actually read so many books back-to-back, that didn’t have that magic aspect of it. Legit, my bookshelf is filled with those black covered books because those are the ones that gravitate towards all things magical.
I also ended up with The Sisters Trilogy which is about magic and witches (not 100% sure cause the back mentioned spell casting) but I’m missing the first book (Prophecy of the Sisters) so you know that I’ll be on Amazon soon.
