Casual Summer Chic | Fashion Diaries

So in my last fashion post, my go-to look for summer was dresses and I did wear quite a lot of them as you could probably see on my Instagram. But recently, I’ve been loving high waisted shorts and cropped tops for all the city adventures. But don’t worry it’s not the typical bootay-flaunting-denim-high-waisted shorts or the barely there cropped tops.

Instead, I’ve been crazy obsessed with cute flowy shorts and decent length fitted cropped tops. My style is a lot covered up but I don’t mind showing a little skin. Hence I love this outfit so much!

Forever 21 had a sale rack and I scored this drop dead floral pants for only $5.99 so obv there was no way in life that I was putting that back on the rack!! It’s an XS so it fits nice and snug and I love the little crotchet trim.

And I loveeee this cropped top cause it’s a high neck which usually means a mega statement necklace but because I had so much going on (like the hat?!) so I decided to wear a simple gold necklace. This top is is so versatile it’s almost ridiculous. #LOVE

I really adore dainty gold necklaces and I have quite the collection thanks to Charming Charlie, but this one was one that I made at the Chelsea Market for a few bucks (<$10). An arrow is my fave symbol so I chose that charm and they made the necklace right there for me!

BTW I looked up online to find similar ones and OMG they are ridiculously expensive like what even!?

I’ve never been a huge fan of bracelets until I found out about Alex and Ani! They have a stunning collection and each bangle means something. I like them because they’re like little reminders you can take with you everywhere. I’m wearing the Nautical Charm and the Skeleton Key.

On my next hand I have the famous my lokai bracelet that Paris gifted me with. I love it but I had no idea it was made from a rubber material! With all the hype, I honestly thought it was glass but I mean I guess this just means it won’t break? #AWKS

Can we take a moment to obsess over my new cross body bag?! And if you’re a regular on my blog, in my Summer Wishlist 2015, a neon cross body bag was on it and now I finally got one that I’m obsessed with. It’s a Kate Spade beauty and although it’s very sleek, it can hold the basics like my wallet, phone, hand sanitizer and a lipstick. Ya know, the essentials!

Since I’m pretty short (5″2) I live in heels but during the day, stilettos ain’t that realistic unless you’re Kim Kardashian and I mean God alone knows how she does it! Hence these wedges which are TDF!! They are ridiculously comfortable and I feel like Kendall Jenner in them. Yea, I totally made a family reference there #NOJUDGEMENT

Okay I KNOW this is so unlike me. A hat?! Yea but hear me out. It’s always about finding the perfect hat and I definitely scored with this beauty. It fits snugly on my had (except for the time I was crossing the road and it blew off) and it’s’ so flattering. I’m actually beginning to think that those hat ladies were on to something!
