I’ve been loving indoor plants and I got so much that I eventually ran out of space to display them. After so many hours on my fave app Pinterest, I saw the cutest plant shelves right about the bed and I just fell in LOVE with it. I mean, not only do you get the cutest touch of decor and immediately give your room a facelift, but you also get to add gorgeous greenery to your space. It’s literally a win win situation however you spin it.
P.S be sure you’re following me on IG here @itsroxyjames for some much exclusive lifestyle content.
So I just had to create one and naturally, I have to share it with you. Honestly this DIY takes less that 10 minutes. The bulk of your time will come from actually styling the shelf because it took me an entire week to really be happy with it.
The full DIY and styling of the shelves are in the video above if you want to create your own. For the shelves, I recommend pre-made shelves because they just make it so easy and mess free because there’s no cutting or painting (thank god!!). Pre-made shelves come in different lengths which make them even easier to install in different areas in your space.
I got everything I needed at my local hardware and then for the plants, it was a lot of plant shopping and just collecting whenever I saw really pretty ones. I have a lovely snake plant, pilea, pothos and monsterra that I just love!
The one I chose fit perfectly above my bed, and then of course you need some L-shaped brackets or elbows to mount the shelf on.
I added lots of plants of course and some bits of wall art. I even created this cute little wall art print that you can download and print if you’d like to use it in your room. All you have to do is right click and save the image and then print. If you want a smaller print, you just have to scale before you print.
P.S. this printable is totally free and made for you, but if you would like to support me and the content I am creating, you can follow me @itsroxyjames on Instagram.
Let me know what you think of this and if you would be making one! Feel free to tag me or slide into my DMs and share your plants as well because I’m always looking for more.
