Okay so you know those days when you’re just at home and you don’t know what to do with your life? Yea, we’ve all been there at some point in life. Why not have a really relaxing day at home, pampering yourself and just enjoying some ‘me time’.
P.S. This is perfect for an after exam detox cause we’ve all walked down that road one too many times.
Candles:
First things first, you have to light a candle. It sets the tone for a day of R&R and not to mention, it smells sooo good. I support local by getting my candles from a handmade candle store in Trinidad called Garden of Grace.
Infused Water:
I always start off any day tbh with infused water, whether it simply be lemon and water or a tad bit fancy like watermelon and mint infused water. Water is the best thing for your skin and bumping it up a bit with fruits and herbs would make your skin glow and detox your body.
Face Masks:
My love for face masks is on another level. I really enjoy doing one once a week to help keep my skin in check and give it a little treat. I like to think if you take care of your skin, it will be good to you. I did a huge post on Freeman Masks and an amazing offer they have going on right now so hurry and check it before it expires!
My fave two masks of the moment are the Honeydew & Chamomile Sleeping Mask and the Sweet Tea & Lemon Peel Away Clay Mask.
Food:
One Pot Pasta is one of my guilty pleasures and it’s perfect because it’s ideal for those lazyyy days where you really don’t want to move a muscle. I have a recipe here but you can see how easy it is to make in the video!
Read a book:
The more technologically inclined the world gets, the more we forget simple pleasures like reading a good book and getting lost in a world that’s not ours. Reading also helps to stimulate the mind and hone your ability to write and speak so never underestimate the importance of that. Right now my current read is #GirlBoss which is such a fiercely real and inspiring book by the founder of the Nasty Gal empire.
Watch a TV Series:
While you’re eating I understand it may not be totally practical to read so why not catch up on one of your fave shows? I have been obsessed with Eye Candy and it was only 10 episodes and I was freaking HOOKED. You need to watch it if you didn’t already. Unfortunately, one of my viewers told me it was canceled so yea, can’t lie, I’m bit sad about that but life goes on right?!
Do your nails:
A full of day of coziness and lazing around won’t be complete without a mani. If you want to be extra extra lazy, I did this watercolor inspired one that looks good no matter what you do to it. Seriously, it’s the easiest mani in life cause t requires zero effort. I’ll cheers to that!
What are something you like doing on a cozy day home? Let me know below.
