Makeup Collection 2015

Eeeep. I’m so excited to share with you my makeup collection for 2015 because it’s been such a highly requested video for as long as I can remember, and even more so when I posted my vanity “clean with me” video here. I made a promise to myself for the year that I’m not going to buy excessive amounts of makeup because 1. I’m not a “beauty guru” and makeup tutorials are not my thing 2. I like to budget so that I can buy things that I actually want- like books and photog accessories- and go on random travel adventures.

I have to say that I kept true to my promise and barely bought any makeup except for those seen in my High End Makeup Haul. Yes, gone are the days where I rushed into drugstores or malls to buy makeup that I’ll most likely never use. The makeup you see in this video is just the right amount for me and please note, I’m not bragging or anything like that. It was just an uber requested video. I loveee acrylic storage for my vanity area and in my last vanity related post here, I linked in where you can get storage like this. One side of my vanity is for my foundations, concealers, powders, bronzers, mascara and my high end makeup.

The next side is for my lipsticks and blushes. Since my cleaning and reorganizing spree, I’ve re-discovered all my lippies so I’m trying (key word trying) to use different colours instead of my usual nude shades. Lemme just say it ain’t working out that well but one can hope.

I also have my NAKED palettes stacked on top and I’m waiting to treat myself with the NAKED Smokey palette.

Most of my brushes are from the Sigma Essential Kit in the Make me Blush color. This was the first set of brushes I ever bought and they were worth every penny. I absolutely think if you’re now starting off with makeup and you don’t know what kind of brushes to get, these are the ones for you. It has all the basic brushes and they are such good quality. It may seem pricey but it will be much better than buying cheaper brushes that don’t last long and have prickly bristles. Since the holidays are right around the corner, take advantage of it!

I have my Tartlette Matte Eyeshadow Palette and my BH Cosmetics Contour & Blush palette (which I use every single day) tucked behind my brushes. The Two Faced A Few of my Favorite Things palette is one that I don’t really use but it’s really too pretty to hide away. I also think it was a limited edition one because I can’t find it anywhere.

In my foundation draw, I have the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser which is my go-to primer because it’s really one of the best I’ve ever used. I think it’s just as good (and even better) than most high end primers.

The foundation I’m currently always pulling for is the Covergirl TruBlend Liquid Makeup. It really gives you a flawless, smooth finish without looking like you packed on makeup. If you were wondering, I wear the shade M4 Sand Beige.

Here’s a glimpse of my high end foundation and primers that I use for special occasions. TBH, I barely pull for these because I dunno, call me crazy but I love my drugstore foundations WAY more.

My NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream collection is really the only lip product I love and will collect- besides M.A.C. lipsticks. I did a whole swatch video and blog post so you can see how they look on an olive/tan skin tone.
