Makeup Storage & Organization

My vanity was a complete and utter train wreck for the most part of the year. Don’t believe me, you’ll see the BEFORE pics soon enough. It was because I didn’t have proper makeup storage and organization and I was a hoarder. Good thing those days are over because after a good declutter and reorganization, my vanity area is a dream come true. Of course, I still have to work on that Hollywood glam lights look but everything in a timing right?

Here’s a little video on how I transformed my vanity with good storage for my makeup. 

Acrylic storage is something I’ve always dreamt of for my makeup. There’s something about seeing everything that inspires you to have it always looking good. You can get storage like this at Organizta (my fave), or on Amazon, Muji or The Container Store.

Personally, the Organizta Chic Box is super affordable and ridiculously sturdy in all the right places. 

Everything on my vanity are things that I use more or less everyday- well at least now because I can finally see all of my makeup. Okay I won’t lie, I have a a draw that has some makeup palettes and Color Tattoos that I don’t use but that’s for another time.

My lipsticks were in that very dark drawer but now I can display them nicely in my acrylic drawers and that makes such a difference to me. Maybe now I’ll slowly gravitate from Mocha and pick up another colour. Ooooh I’ve been loving a red lip recently btw.

I ended up stacking my NAKED palettes like this because they were too big for the drawers. At first, I didn’t really fancy how it looked but now I’m just obsessed. It’s like a little book collection right?

On the right side of my vanity, I have actual face products like foundations, primers, powders and mascaras. TBH I have way too many eye pencils even though I did throw away a good bit while I was cleaning. I guess I’ll have to have another reevaluation soon. Oh joy.

I tucked some palettes behind my brush holder since these are what I use everyday. Okay not the pink and gold one, but it was just too pretty to hide away.

P.S. I have a little thing for rock crystals.

I also created a little spot for my perfumes so now they are easily accessible and I won’t have to dig to find them- or worse yet, forget to spritz. I dunno but when I don’t spritz some perfume on myself, even if I’m halfway to the car and I remember, it’ll just bother me so much that I’ll have to run back upstairs to put it on. Is it just me?
