I LOVE subscription boxes because it’s like Christmas every month. And ever since I decided to cut down on buying makeup, it’s like a free pass right? Cause technically, I’m buying a box of beauty products and if it happens to come with a new lipstick or mascara, then who’s fighting?
Boxycharm is a subscription box where you get 5-6 full sized high end beauty products for $21 a month. Let me just say that it’s definitely worth your money because the boxes often come with products that total at more than $75 dollars which is crazyyyy.
My October box was one of my faves, not only because of the black packaging of all my products that made it perfectly spooktacular, but also because I got some amazing products that I’m gonna share with you right now.
The theme was Faces of the Moon which calls for you to let all your “faces” show and reminds you that you can always be whoever you choose to be. Did you get chills or nah? CAUSE I DID!
The first thing that I was the most excited about was the Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask because I’m a sucker for skincare. Anddd it’s a whopping $64 dollars which as you can see is almost 3 times the amount of box itself. Say whatttttttt
It smells so good and it cleanses your pores by soaking up all the impurities, and it defends against free radicals (ya know, the things that could cause cancer) thanks to its antioxidant rich formula, all with a cool, tingly feeling you’ll love. When I used it, I found my skin to feel so much softer and I honestly felt like it got rid of some of the ickies in it.
Being a mascara whore lover, it’s only natural that I felt gleeful when I saw this Doucce Punk Volumizer Mascara ($24). I’ve never heard of the brand but the brush tip is meganormous, which I like for my top lashes- not so much for my lower ones because the mascara will just get everywhere. It did give me some volume and length but definitely not as much as I wanted. Maybe I’m just greedy like that.
From Lord & Berry I got this Line/Shade Eyeliner pencil ($18) that has kohl and kajal so you know you’re gonna get one heck of a deep pigmentation. I also love that it went on so smoothly and softly because I HATE hard pencils cause they poke my eye uncomfortably. It’s also waterproof so it’s perf for those long icky school/work days.
I love products that can function as two things just because I’m lazy like that. #NOSHAME This Coral (yes, that’s even the name) Bellapierre Cheek & Lip Stain ($19.99) gives you that barely there flushed look that I love because I prefer a natural look over an overdone one any day. I have to admit though, that I think it’s a bit pricey for such a little pot of product.
Anddd if you know me, you know that it freaks me out to dip into a product with my fingertips, so I’ll definitely be using a brush to apply this with.
Last up was this luxurious grey nail polish from Cult Cosmetics called Boneyards ($12) . It’s vegan friendly which I LOVE, but grey is not a color I love on my nails. I might get it in a white color because that’s the only polish that I ever wear.
This box was worth $137.99 #SPEECHLESS
I highly recommend Boxycharm to those of you who really love getting high-end, full sized beauty products because you definitely get so much more than you pay for.
Let me know what was your fave product from this month’s box!
