Today I have a #PrettyPlanningwithRoxy video and blog post that was HIHGLY requested. Like legit I was getting questions every day about doing a plan with me video featuring my new Ban.do Agenda which I did an entire review about. Video here and blog post here.
Lemme just say that this was definitely a learning experience for me because I was never that consistent with decorating my other planner. I am a planner addict- like seriously I’m lost without my To-Do lists-so decorating a full month’s spread like what I did here was new but definitely fun! I’m actually looking forward to doing September’s spread!
It was also different since this has a horizontal spread so the typical E.C. decor etc. definitely won’t work for this kind of planner. BUT OH WELL. I’ll definitely try new things as I go along with my fab planner and I can’t wait to share it with you!
Enjoy the video and comment and let me know your thoughts/suggestions.
Fact about me: I really like to keep my planner as simple as possible because like I always say- I write a tonnnn so having stickers all over the place just isn’t something that will work for me. Don’t get me wrong, I like stickers and pretty decor (who doesn’t) once it’s in all the right places.
There was a certain technique- as you would see in the video- that I used while I was planning, so that each page kinda ‘matched’ all the rest. I started off by using scrapbook paper and a circle puncher to create a nice border on top.
P.S. I got my circle puncher and a ton of more inexpensive planner supplies from Amazing Savings in this haul.
I also used a paper trimmer as you’ll see in the video and you can get one here. This one here is the brand I got but not the same color which sucks cause I really love my turquoise one!
Usually, people use washi tape to determine the color scheme for the spread but I liked using the scrapbook paper and basing my color scheme on that. It was a little different but I loved the way it turned out!
I also highlighted the days of the week so that it would stand out and not get lost in a sea of black ink.
The bottom of the page was lined with washi since I think the circles would have been too big?
To add more space, I used sticky notes and notepad sheets (almost all the ones I used was from Target!) that were held in place by washi tape that complimented my color scheme.
P.S. video on how to make more space in your planner here.
Another touch which I adore was journal cards because they are so inspiring and uplifting. When you’re not having a good day, this would definitely put a smile on your face.
I used my Kate Spade set of expletive paperclips (or here) to hold the journal cards in place, in case you were wondering.
BTW, video on a DIY Planner & Journal Cards here.
Okayyyy so let me know if you would like more blog posts and videos like this!
