Have you ever had a really not nice experience where you wanted something really badly and it didn’t happen? Then later on something else more amazing came up and then you suddenly realize that that first rejection was for the best? You can probably stop and think about it and you’ll be so surprised.
I love mindset swaps which is a little technique I love doing where every time I think of something in a negative manner (aka a negative mindset), I consciously make a decision to replace it with a positive mindset.
P.S. be sure you’re following me on Instagram @itsroxyjames for much more exclusive lifestyle content over there.
In this case, that’s swapping out the thought of rejection and replacing it with a mentality of being redirected to something greater.
Maybe it was a job that you didn’t get that eventually led you to applying to something else that was truly more suited to what you wanted to do. Or, something that I’m probably sure you heard about before: a relationship that didn’t work out and then that person finding their soulmate right after.
Rejection can come in many forms- in a relationship, job, opportunity that you really wanted etc. A great mindset switch is seeing rejection as being redirected towards something greater. As disappointing as rejection may seem in the moment, take time to step back and re-evaluate your goals and even set new ones.
Use this redirection as an opportunity to learn and grow, and even embrace new things. Looking back on these times of rejection through our lives, you will find that most times, it only resulted in better things.
Next time something doesn’t go your way, stop, take a deep breath and remind yourself that this may very well just be things falling into place for something that truly is for you.
Don’t forget to share this with someone who might need to see it.
xx

Hi Roxy, I absolutely agree with you! The motto that I live by is “Rejection is God’s protection and redirection. I truly believe that everything in life happens for a reason.

Aw yay thank you for sharing-love that! And yes it’s so true. You’re literally always redirected to something much greater than even you expected. It may be days or months before you realize, but when you do, you’ll truly be thankful for those little setbacks. xx
