Trinidad and Tobago is known as a ‘melting pot’ where many different creeds and races are mixed up to form our beautiful, multicultural society. Divali, is soon coming up and there’s always an expo where people from India come to share their trade and you have the opportunity to experience and buy amazing and incredibly amazing detailed items- from clothes to little trinkets.
Tonight I went and I couldn’t help but share some pictures with you in case you’d like to see something from a different culture.
Bangles [aka bracelets] are a key part of Indian fashion. These are bigger, clunkier ones but the ones below are the smaller mostly worn ones which I prefer.
These are Indian clothes and I love the jeweled detailing on them as well as the beautiful colours they come in. Of course, me being me, I’m drawn to the white ones with gold detailing. I think nothing is as perfect as those.
These bags were different from the drawstring ones above. They have cute beaded handles and they can extend and the clip back together. OMG it’s like a wanton! Yes, I just thought of that.
These little ballet flats are to die for. I love the colours and the once again, the intricate detailing.
Hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what you liked the most.
