Soooo spring is upon us and what better time than now to get your life together. Organization doesn’t always have to be a chore- it can be really fun once you have the right approach to it. Here are some easy and inexpensive Pinterest inspired ideas that I actually tried (video below to prove it!) and found to be superrrrr helpful so you know- I just had to share.
1. Use a clothes rack to display and organize your sunnies. Not only does it give you a fun display, but it will also help you to see- and find- all your options when you need them.
2. Paint some wooden clothespins and label them with the days of the week. Hang them on some twine and then add little notes of things you have to do, tickets, cards and anything really.
3. Do you have a ton of candle jars laying about? Fear not- just clean them (easy way to remove wax in the video!) and use them to store nail polishes, lippies, hair ties, makeup items, stationery…you get the point.
4. Okay this one I just LOVE. This goes out to all my #planneraddicts and washi tape hoarders. If you’re like me and have tons of washi spooling all over the place, then a simple embroidery hoop is all you need. Just unscrew and slide your washi onto the ring. Now you’ll never have to go hunting for washi again. P.S. it’s a cute wall decor piece #JUSTSAYING
5. This fun charging station can be customized into any colour- I added washi to mine. This is perfect if you don’t want your phone laying around on the floor and getting trampled on while it’s charging. Out of all the DIYs here, not gonna lie- this is a bit tricky since it involves cutting out the shape from a plastic bottle, but hey, the result is totally worth it.
6. Binder clips on the side of your desk is a nifty little trick for organizing your bazillion cords. Instead of having them strewn all over the floor, just slip them through the metal part to secure them. Oh, and if your desk is too thick, there’s a way to work around that in the video!
7. Do you have a small closet space (not all of us have a Khloé Kardashian worthy set up)? Use soda tabs (yea, not kidding) and slip them onto your clothes racks. That gives you an extra loop for another rack. Basically it’s like an extended rack that can fit a good couple clothes items without taking up a ton of space in your closet.
8. Use nail polish to polish your keys so you won’t be fumbling outside wondering which key is with. P.S. polka dots and stripes are totally cute.
9. Add some extra space to your clipboard by hot gluing a cute box (this one is a perfume box) to it. That way, you can hold extra notepads and pens.
10. Display your hats using command strips (easy to come off the wall when you need them too). This is also a fun decor piece and gives that boutique vibe.
