If you’re in Toronto and you want the full CN Tower experience, then dining at the 360 Restaurant (yes it rotates and no you don’t feel a thing) is a must. Not only is the view absolutely breath-taking, but the food is a perfect compliment to the entire experience.
My advice is to take the prix fixe menu (aka the price is fixed and so are the meal options) and with that, you get a free elevation* which basically means you won’t have to buy a ticket to go up that very long elevator chute #GIVEITTOMEIMWORTHIT
P.S. if you’re in Toronto, here are 5 food places you HAVE to try.
P.S. The dishes shown here are based on our pescatarian lifestyle. There are delicious options for meat as well as vegetarians.
P.S. #2 This is based on the 2015 Summer Menu
The prix fixe menu has two options were you can go for a 2 course meal or a 3 course meal which would include an appetizer, main and dessert. I would really recommend the 3 course because it’s very much worth it but here’s a little trick: if you go with a friend, one of you can take the 2 course and the other can take the 3 course. That way, you can share a dessert and trust me, by the time you eat the appetizer & main, you won’t possibly be able to eat a dessert all by yourself.
But hey, if you could, then power to you!
Appetizers
Ontario Tomato Salad with Guernsey Milk Ricotta (Aged Vincotto, first cold pressed canola oil)
One of the most perfect choices to start off your evening because it’s light and airy, yet full of flavour.
Bay of Fundy Maple Wood Smoked Atlantic Salmon (pumpernickel bread, Leamington cucumber salad, caper vinaigrette)
This was a completely swoon-worthy meal that I adored so much. Personally, it was like a main course for me because of the portion size which was massive as you can probably tell. If you want to have room for your main, then you might want to try that salad above!
The pumperknickel bread topped with the smoked salmon were to die for and don’t even get me started on the cucumber salad with a touch of dill.
Enoki mushrooms are the most delicate little things ever, and I fell in love with the prawn and ginger siu mai which is like a little dumpling.
Pan Seared Pacific Ling Cod with Crispy Artichokes (summer pea and potato purée, green garbanzo beans, lemon gremolata)
This. was. heaven. It was insanely delicious and the green garbanzo beans with the purée were a match made in heaven.
A little something to keep in mind is that if you order a fish-based appetizer and you’re a pescatarian, the choices for the main are a bit limited in their options, so you might end up eating a main with another fish component as you can probably see from above.
Dessert
Dark Chocolate Lava Cake “Wafferino” (devil’s chocolate ice cream, warm vanilla custard)
Oh god someone please help me- my knees are wobbling like no other. The warm melted chocolate and vanilla custard were a splendid melee, as were the lava cake and rich chocolate ice-cream dripping down. Nothing could beat a grand finale like this ice-cream and cake match made in dessert heaven.
If you have a similar diet restriction, I hope this gave you some scrumptious options. The service was of the highest order as expected and the evening was truly a magical one. You can make a reservation in advance and I recommend calling instead of placing the order online itself since sometimes the computer system says it’s booked when it’s not.
I hope you enjoyed this post and don’t ever forget to eat well and travel often,
*To get complimentary elevation, a minimum of 2 courses needs to be purchased per person. This isn’t really a problem since the prix fixe menu has that as one of the two options.
