It’s the second episode of #MAKEITINMAY already. Yup, I pretty much could see time flying. Today’s DIY is easy, breezy, beautiful [sorry Covergirl] organization in less than one minute I’m pretty sure. You can turn woven baskets into glamourous shelves for decor or organization. Clearly I went with the decor theme #sorrynotsorry. Check out the video and see more pictures below.
P.S. If you do make any of these DIYs don’t hesitate to tweet me or instagram me so I can see what you came up with!
So why woven shelves you ask? It’s simply because woven shelves [I got these from the Target $1 spot for only $3 dollars] have gaps to facilitate the command hooks– or nails if you prefer that way. I just painted my room from lavender to white so I’m not in the mood to wack any nails into it- just yet heh.
For video purposes, I wanted to style two completely different themed shelves and I thought I would have changed it to make it more matchy-matchy but surprisingly, I love the contrast of the two shelves and tbh, I think they work pretty well together!
Which shelf do you like more?! I can’t decide.
BTW be sure if you use command strips to FOLLOW the instructions- as in leave it to set for about an hour before you hang things on it! Also, I used 2 command strips for extra strength for my shelves. Nails would surely be a better option for bigger baskets and heavier items.
What did you think of this DIY? Are you excited for more #MAKEITINMAY videos?!
