Beauties!
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day so I took that into consideration while planning this episode of #MAKEITINMAY These chalkboard pots/planters would be a fun, last minute gift for your mom and even though I made herb pots, you can put her fave flowers or even cacti in it if that’s her thing. Not only are these extremely easy to make but they are personalizable so you can write fun things on them for your mom and I’m sure she’ll love that added touch.
P.S. If you make anything be sure to tweet me or instagram me with the #MAKEITINMAY so I can enjoy what you did.
Now let’s get DIYing!
I like terra-cotta pots but these plastic ones I had were more spacious and had a built in drainage system so I didn’t need saucers for them #lazygirlprobs You can use chalkboard pant but I recommend this chalkboard spray paint which is much easier to manipulate and a lot more fast drying. But if you prefer the paint form, you can get an 8oz bottle here or a quart here.
See? That’s all you need to make these lovely gifts for you mom.
P.S. I know lavender is spelt wrong but I have a slight spelling problem at times- good thing these pots are chalkboard and therefore erasable so say bye bye to mistakes like these!
These pots are perfect to make any time and I adore having them with my herb plants. I grew the basil and cilantro from little seeds I got from the Target $1 spot and I’m super proud that they’re doing so beautifully. I also recently bought rosemary and lemon thyme so it definitely looks like I’ll be making more chalkboard pots soon! The #greenthumb in me it too real right now.
Hope you enjoyed this DIY for #MAKEITINMAY!
