The holidays are legit right next door and I love decorating in November. There’s something just so exciting about this time of the year and I always try to get into that holiday spirit as early as I can. Here are some super easy DIY holiday decor ideas that you can try if you have a small room or a tight budget.
Here’s an overview of my shelves looking all holiday themed and glam.
On the top shelf I like keeping taller elements since it makes the shelf look more spaced out and adds vertical character.
Adding holiday ornaments add an extra oomph to the decor and for my theme, I loved a lot of gold and sparkly elements.
Gift wrapped boxes are also a very inexpensive but perfect way to feel those holiday vibes.
Fill some jars with holiday ornaments- you can stick to red and green if you really want to a “Christmas” look.
For a minimal vibe, you can use a mini Christmas tree or Christmas branches in a mason jar. I used gold tinsel for the “base” of the tree and I absolutely loved the way it looked. I also added a string of sparkly ornaments but if you have a bigger tree, you can add hanging ornaments and even lights.
Wooden and cork letters are such fun to make words with so I chose “Noel” and “Joy”. I really like the cork finish because it matched so well with my theme.
Hope you enjoyed these simple holiday decor ideas. If you make anything be sure to share it with me on instagram or twitter because I would love to see.
