Beauties!
We are winding down to our last few episodes of #MAKEITINMAY like honestly, how crazy is this life right now?! Ahhh I still can’t believe I uploaded on time. So cray. Anyway today’s DIY was something I have always wanted to make and seriously, it was the easiest thing in life. By the time you watch this video I swear you’ll be one fierce pillow making machine.
P.S. If you make any of these DIYs be sure to tweet me or instagram me with the #MAKEITINMAY so I can see what you did!
You will need fabric of your choice and a glue gun OR and iron-on adhesive such as Heat n’ Bond which is my new favourite thing in LIFE. You can get the one I used here or here. Best of all it’s already a ‘hem’ size and it’s just so easy to work with I’m like- where the heck has this thing been my whole life?!
But like I mentioned before, a glue gun will also work just as fine- as you will see in the video so don’t stress.
For the fabric I found these Single Fat Quarter fabric ‘sheets’ at Walmart and they were literally heaven sent- and at only .97c for one?! Bring on the hallelujah chorus please! You can choose from several here. I just can’t wait to get my hands on more! Heck I could make pillows for every season. Oh the excitement.
Honestly, me and sewing- we just do NOT get along so these pre-cut fabric sheets were life. If you don’t have access to these, you can easily get yours cut at the fabric store or you can totally just do it yourself.
The sheets I got measured 18 x 22″ so I used two of them per pillow and they were just a perfect size for the bigger pillows. The little pillow below was just one of those sheets folded in half [shown in video].
You would also need pillow stuffing and I just got mine at a local fabric store and a mega bag is very cheap. You can also get here .
I’m in love with the way these turned out! Let me know your thoughts below.
