It’s that time of the year again that many of us tend to kinda most likely dread. But instead of going into the new school semester (or even a new day in life!?) with a dreary attitude, why not embrace it and set out to be more organized. That way you won’t have to frustrate yourself spending hours looking for something you lost or falling into a disorganized slump.
P.S. tweet me or instagram me with the #b2swithRoxy so I can see what you made!
I’m gonna share with you 3 easy DIYs that are perfect for staying on top of your game. P.S. comment and let me know what was your fave DIY because I’m very torn between the fruity cork boards and the whiteboard command centre!
These DIY fruity cork boards are so fun and they definitely brighten up your workspace. I made a watermelon and lemon one but you can do any fruit you like! TBH I’m really loving the idea of an entire citrus collection!
I used one as a key organizer but you can also use it as a jewelry organizer for your necklaces and bracelets.
P.S. I used black push pins so it would match the whole seed vibes going on there.
The lemon was a traditional cork board where I have memos like assignments due bills to pay etc. And here I used white push pins to match the white in my lemon.
You will need:
- hot pot stands [which are much thicker than regular cork coasters so your push pins won’t go right through]
- acrylic paint
- paint brush
Next is a flashcard organizer. I love this because you can study on the go and you don’t even have to remove the flashcards because the ring makes it easy to flip.
P.S. You can hang them on the fruity cork boards above!
You will need:
- loose leaf rings [these are 1″ size; box of 16] or box of 50 [2″ size so they are larger]
- hole puncher
- flashcards here or here, here or here.
I like colour-coding my flashcards based on the subject. It’s a great way to easily identify a stash when you just want to grab and go.
For instance: YELLOW = BIOCHEMISTRY
Last up is a weekly command center which turned out to be WAY more amazing than I envisioned it. I played around with a few versions and this was the one I loved and felt was most functional.
I got a set of 3 for less than 5 bucks. I found these here that are self-sticking but if you don’t want to stick them to your walls etc., you can use pretty washi tape! I added to the 4 corners of my whiteboard but you can make a pretty border if you’d like.
So now that I went through these three DIYs, let me know which was your fave!
