Hello loves!
For the last #MAKEITINMAY video [DIY Mason Jar Meals] I touched briefly on my healthy lifestyle and the way that I’ve lost weight and how amazing I feel. In today’s DIY, I’m sharing some of my fitness inspiration with you as well as brief clips on how clothes I wore last year no longer fit me. And ummm a screenshot of my transformation from March to May. Gulp. Don’t laugh at me. K thanks.
Don’t forget, if you made any of these DIYs, be sure tweet me or instagram me with the #MAKEITINMAY so I can see what you did!
Detox water is a must when it comes to cultivating a healthy lifestyle. Sure, water is fine by itself and I have no problem with it, but it’s just that detox water is like ordinary water pumped up with nutrients.
This special little mixture in particular is what I like to call a DIY fat flush- not really, it’s ahhhmazing for your body and your skin.
Here are some benefits of the ingredients used to infuse the water with:
– Lemon thyme which is a delicious herb with a lemon smell and taste. It is an antioxidant and also contains vitamins C, A K and E- yes, CAKE. As well as minerals like potassium and iron.
– Cucumbers have phytonutrients that have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It also curbs your appetite and flushes out toxins from the body.
– Pink grapefruit is a fruit I not only amazing for breakfast, but it’s great in infused water. It helps lower cholesterol and contains lycopene which helps fight compounds that attack your cells.
Another important aspect of choosing a healthy lifestyle is being motivated to stick to smart choices when it comes to food and exercise, and just being inspired overall. That’s where this fun fitspo board comes in.
There are 4 tiles so from left to right:
#1 The Workout Tile
– contains workout calendar, fitness workouts, arm workouts, leg, butt, anything workouts
#2 The Motivation Tile
– contains inspirational quotes that not only deal with fitness but serve to uplift you in life on a daily basis
#3: The Fit Me Tile
– hang up whatever you want to fit into: a new bikini, that bandage dress, those high-waisted shorts
#4: The Motivation Tile
– has a clothespin line with little clothespins. Each pin represents 1 lb you want to gain [if you’re building muscle] or lose [if you’re losing weight]. Whenever you lose 1 lb, you remove a pin and similarly, whenever you gain 1 lb you add a pin. Seeing your weight loss/gain as a physical representation really helps to motivate and inspire you to keep up the goo work
– also has rewards to keep you motivated like a makeup haul at Sephora or a daisy headband to remind you of the summer ahead.
P.S. don’t forget to…
Remember having a ‘pretty’ board or physically appealing fitspo board would encourage, motivate and inspire you to keep up with your healthy lifestyle.
Let me know what you think about these DIYs!
