Ever since I knew myself, caring for my skin was something that was near obsessive. Of course, this didn’t stop me from getting the random bout of acne which left scarring- no one’s skin is perfect ya know! Everyone has their skin issues but I believe strongly that having a skin care routine will help manage some of those skin problems and lead to healthy, glowing skin.
Here’s a peak into what I do everyday- it’s very simple but it makes my skin feel amazing. Also, I’m sharing a DIY mask that I just LOVE. It has ingredients that your skin will thank you for. You don’t have to do this everyday but I love making simple homemade masks just to treat my skin sometimes. Maybe I’m a believer that if you’re good to your skin, your skill will be good to you!

P.S. I think what you eat is a HUGE contributor to what happens to your skin but that’s entirely another post.
The first step in my skin care routine it cleansing it. In the night, I’ll take off all my makeup first and then use my Spin for Perfect Skin rotating brush. This brush is a MUST have because it has 4 attachments so you get an all in one brush without have to spend a ton of money on separate tools for different parts of your body.
P.S. Right NOW, it retails for only $30 instead of $100 so I suggest you hurry so you won’t miss out. And if you don’t get it in time, then you can always use the code PARISANDROXY for 70% off.
You get a cleansing brush, body brush, pumice stone (if you only know how much I need this LOL) & an exfoliating brush. I can get into more detail in a future post about these different types of brushes, but the one I use everyday is the cleansing brush for my face.
P.S. my color is Lucite Green.
Here’s what I love about this:
- it has a rotating head that helps to exfoliate your skin and give you that spa-like clean feeling
- also gives your skin a micro-massage which helps to give skin that glow since you’re stimulating muscles & blood vessels
- super cleans your pores
AND what I love is the fact that even though you take off your makeup with makeup removers and wipes and all that hullabaloo, it does NOT really clean your skin. Just using a cleanser and your head to clean it also does absolutely nothing.
Like seriously, every time I use my spin brush, I see so much residue on the bristles from “that time I thought I washed & cleansed my face”. You can even see it in the video above. It’s sooo gross! That’s why I am seriously in love with my brush and I use it everyday to help completely clean my skin.
After I clean my skin, if I’m in the mood, I like to whip up a homemade mask. These are fun to use because they are very gentle on my skin and I don’t have to worry about overmasking and drying out my skin with store bought masks- which you should never use everyday.
This yummy mask has banana, yogurt, oats & the secret ingredient…a teaspoon of apple cider, which really gives your skin a kick that I love. Apple cider is a natural astringent and helps with acne & skin blemishes andddd, helps to restore the pH balance of your skin. Honestly, it’s magic in a bottle.
Once the mask has set & I clean it off, it’s time to rehydrate your skin and I use a few drops of rose hip seed oil which is a very inexpensive, but equally worthy option, compared to high end face oils which I’ve tried before.
Rose hip seed oil is the real MVP when it comes to face oils. It’s a super lightweight oil so it won’t leave your skin feeling oily. It also evens out skin tone so say goodbye to hyper pigmentation from acne scarring and any other spots on your skin that’s just downright annoying.
Yes, this is me with all my imperfections LOL.
