You know how annoying redness and blemishes can be on your face? And even if you use concealer it sometimes still shows? Trust, me I know the struggle. The bad news- most of of us can relate- but the good news (yay) is that there’s a handy little tool that can help resolve those issues and even out your skin tone. Say whaaaat?
The YSL Touche Éclat Neutralizer comes in three shades: green, bisque and violet. Okay I know how scary those colours sound, but let me just ease your mind and let you know these are gonna be blended out anyway so you won’t see a thing. I promise.
Since these are neutralizers, they all have colour correcting properties. Think: a colour wheel, where opposite colours will neutralize/ cancel out each other. The violet colour helps to give your skin a natural, healthy glow by correcting dull, sallow skin, and the bisque will kiss dark circles and spots goodbye while illuminating your skin. And the green one- which is gonna be the star of this post- is going to even out your skin tone while correcting blemishes and concealing any redness you have. Oh, and did I mention that these are all highlighters?
I have the green neutralizer and I apply it to my primed (and moisturized duhhh) skin on any areas with blemishes or redness. Then I blend it out and I have to say that I notice a definite smoothening of my skin tone and my blemishes are next to invisible. Once that’s done (and happily so), I go ahead with the rest of my makeup routine.

So let’s talk price: these go at a pretty penny of $38 for each. But no worries, you don’t need all three- just choose one that suits your skin and its needs.
The packaging is sleek and classy with the colours of the neutralizers aptly represented with metallic pastel hues. To dispense the product, just click (like a clicky pen) and sweep the brush over the affected areas and blend it in. The slim brush shape allows for precise application without slobbering your face with product.
What I especially love is that once your correct your skin, you won’t have to worry about abusing heavy concealers/foundations so YAY for that natural look.
If you want some other options that are very similar, here’s a mix of drugstore & high end.
Personally, I haven’t tried any of the other options but they all work with the same principle and won’t make you go broke #JUSTSAYING (I meannnn the L’Oreal correctors retail for only $
