Why hello beautiful! Thanks for stopping by.
This week was one HECK of a crazy one especially since it started off with me bashing my head good and proper on Monday morning. Yea, if you missed that one, you can check it out right here where I document my episodes of blacking out. And fear not, today I’ll be getting a very much needed visit to the doctor. MEGA GULP cause I fricken cannot stand doctors or dentists.
Here are 5 of my fave things this week that kinda put me in a good mood.
1. Coconut water
Since being not my best, it’s been recommend that I stay hydrated with some good old coconut water and who could disagree when it reminds you of palm trees and sandy beaches. Not to mention it tastes soooo good! And did you know that coconut water has tons of benefits like being naturally sweet and having way less calories than those tacky energy drinks (seriously who the eff drinks those still?) and no disgusting artificial sugar like those found in juices and sodas. So yea, if you’re looking to make that lifestyle change, coconut water is a goldmine.
2. Ziplining
I recently took a trip to the Zipitt which is a zip lining adventure park located in Trinidad. It was my first time zip lining and it’s definitely something I would love to do again but I can’t lie, I want faster zips and higher lines. It’s such an adrenaline rush but it’s incredibly worth it and tbh it’s very safe and I think that everyone would like it. They also have a separate little kiddie zip line park in case they can’t make the bigger ones. I think the hardest part will be letting go the first time but after that, trust me, you’ll be jumping off those platforms like no other. It also made me realize that I woke up my inner thrill seeker that was sleeping for some years and now I’m determined to do something like sky diving and bungee jumping!
3. Southpaw
OMG so for date night The Boyfriend and I watched this movie and it was so fricken good!!!! I’m not into videos that have much brutality cause we live in a world that’s already so corrupted so in my spare time, I rather escape into a world of fantasy. BUT NO REALLY. Southpaw was about the rise and fall of a prominent boxer and his fight (literally) to get it all back. It’s an inspiring story that I recommend you watch cause it would have you on a bit of an edge. Check out the trailer below.
4. BH Cosmetics 6 Color Contour & Blush Palette
This beauty palette is my go to everything these days. It has 6 colours which are perfect for an olive/tanned skin tone like mine and the palette itself is super sleek which makes it a great travel companion. I loveee BH Cosmetics because you honestly can’t beat the quality and the price.
The translucent powder is perfect for setting all my makeup and I use one of the cream colored ones for setting my concealer. The bronzer is TDF because with a darker skin tone, it’s really hard to find something that actually shows up and this is perfect. I hugely recommend it if you find yourself in a similar predicament. The blushes are very pigmented and add the prettiest flush to my cheeks. I can’t lie- this is perfect for a lazy girl like me because I could reach in and just use this for basically everything!
5. Fave song: Locked Away (R. City ft. Adam Levine)
This is almost always on repeat…in my head. I love it so much because the lyrics are just so meaningful and I mean it’s my version of a modern day ballad. Anddd I mean Adam obv. Take a listen below and tell me what you think!
P.S. you might shed some tears or a few.
Lemme know some of your faves cause I love hearing your recommendations!
